Become a Certified Naori Instructor

Naori is a systems-based movement method developed around the relationships between the lymphatic system, fascia, the nervous system, and breath.

Instructor certification prepares qualified movement professionals to understand the method, experience its quality, and learn how to teach it with clarity, care, and consistency.

Certification is currently offered in person in Dallas, Texas.

Why teach Naori?

As an instructor, you may notice this in participants—or perhaps in your own body. Someone may move regularly, build strength, improve mobility, and care for their body, yet the body may still appear puffy or feel heavy, with certain areas that remain restricted and difficult to reach through their usual practice.

Different factors can contribute to these patterns. The condition and glide of the fascia, the movement of interstitial fluid and lymph, breath-driven pressure dynamics, and nervous system state all influence how freely the body can organize and respond during movement. When tissue glide is limited, fluid movement is less supported, or the body remains in a guarded state, certain areas may continue to feel heavy, appear puffy, or remain less available to movement—even within a consistent exercise practice.

Fascia, breath, the nervous system, recovery, and the lymphatic system are established subjects within movement and wellness conversations, although they are often explored separately. Naori brings their relationships into one structured movement practice and gives instructors a framework for understanding how they influence movement and how to support them through practice.

Through diaphragmatic breathing, rhythm, directional touch, and carefully sequenced movement, the method supports fluid movement, tissue responsiveness, and a nervous system state that allows the body to move with greater ease and adaptability.

Naori can sit alongside and complement Pilates, yoga, strength training, mobility, and other forms of movement.

For an instructor, learning Naori means gaining a new method to offer rather than another variation of a class you already teach.
Who the certification is for

Naori instructor certification is designed for professionals who are already established in movement disciplines.

This may include Pilates teachers, yoga teachers, barre teachers, personal trainers, group fitness instructors, and other qualified practitioners with relevant teaching experience.

Applicants should already have experience guiding people through movement safely and confidently.

Naori is taught as a distinct method, with its own principles, practice, and teaching approach.

What the certification includes

Naori certification develops understanding, direct experience of the method, and teaching ability together.

Conceptual Study
You study the ideas and relationships that form the foundation of the method, building the understanding needed to teach Naori responsibly.
Method Training
You learn to perform the Naori method through in-person instruction, with attention to technique, breath coordination, transitions, and the quality of the movement itself.
Teaching Methodology
You learn how to guide a Naori session with clarity, including cueing, pacing, session delivery, instructor presence, and the way the method's quality is carried into the room.
Supervised Practice Teaching
Before certification is complete, trainees teach under observation, receive feedback, and demonstrate the ability to guide the method with clarity, confidence, and care.
Time Commitment & Certification Format

Naori instructor certification includes approximately 40 hours of combined study, training, personal practice, assessment, and supervised teaching.

Conceptual Study

The required theory materials are studied independently alongside the practical portion of certification.

Most instructors should expect to spend approximately 8–12 hours studying the material in their own available time. This allows each trainee to move through the concepts carefully, return to more complex sections, and connect the theory to what they are experiencing in practice.

The conceptual study is followed by a written assessment, which takes approximately 45 minutes to complete.

Method Training

The practical portion begins with a 4-hour in-person group training session.

During this session, trainees are guided through the structure of the Naori method with explanation and demonstration of each part of the practice. The training also includes a full Naori session experience and time for questions, clarification, and discussion.

After the initial training, trainees begin a 3-week period of personal practice. They complete 18 full Naori sessions at home, with 6 sessions each week.

This repeated practice allows the method to become more familiar in the body and gives trainees time to notice what becomes clearer through consistency.

Teaching Methodology

At the end of each practice week, the study group meets for a 2-hour group session.

Each group session includes a full Naori practice followed by time for questions, clarification, and refinement. Across the 3 weekly group sessions, trainees continue developing their understanding of cueing, session delivery, instructor presence, and how the quality of the method is carried into the room.

After the final group session, trainees complete a practical readiness assessment.

Those who demonstrate readiness move into supervised practice teaching. Trainees who need more time receive specific guidance and continue practicing before reassessment.

Supervised Practice Teaching

The final stage of certification is teaching a full Naori session under observation.

During this practicum, trainees demonstrate their ability to guide the method with clarity, confidence, appropriate pacing, and care while preserving the quality of the Naori experience from beginning to end.

Feedback is provided after the session. Once all certification requirements have been successfully completed, trainees receive their Naori instructor certificate, certification number, and eligibility to be listed as certified instructors on the Naori website.

More than learning a class

Naori certification is not simply about learning a sequence of movements.

It is a process of understanding the method, experiencing its quality in your own body, and learning how to guide that experience for others.

You study the ideas that shape the method. You learn how the practice is performed. You are guided in how to teach it with clarity, presence, and care. And before certification is complete, you teach under supervision and receive feedback.

The goal is not only to reproduce the practice, but to understand it, embody it, and carry its quality into the room.
Naori Educator Program

For experienced movement professionals, Naori offers an additional educator program beyond instructor certification.

The Naori Educator Program is designed for certified Naori instructors who demonstrate a strong understanding of the method and have experience teaching both participants and other instructors.

Naori Educators are prepared to support future instructor trainings and help carry the method into new communities with clarity, care, and consistency.

This program is separate from instructor certification and includes additional requirements, training, assessment, and authorization.

Becoming a certified Naori instructor does not automatically qualify someone to train or certify others in the method.
